We Design Value: K2A permitted the remodel of over 50 units in an existing Type 1 construction building in less than 2 months. Through an innovative approach in which each unit was submitted separately, the project was permitted through a series of Over the Counter plan checks, which saved the client months in permitting time, and the associated costs.
We Value Design: 50 Existing units at this landmark property were converted from larger multi-bedroom units which were hard to lease, to over 200 co-living suites, each at a lower price point, which aligned with the student market at the UCLA adjacent property. Through innovative space planning and design, we were able to convert these units into smaller, but equally livable, spaces for students and older tenants alike.
