Emmie Lai

Junior Architect

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Washington University in Saint Louis and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Experience: Prior to starting at K2A, and fresh out of school, Emmie and a fellow USC classmate spent a year running their own small studio designing various projects in China. The small collective worked on museum exhibits, a collection of small bridges, and even branched out into graphic design and brand identity for a music app, which won them a creative business award from Woodbury University. Emmie loves designing at all scales, and takes particular pleasure in graphic layouts and designing maps at all scales.

Extra: Emmie is always on the hunt for new restaurants to try, and aspires to be as adventurous (and witty) as Anthony Bourdain and Jonathan Gold, her two favorite food critics whom she idolizes.
